Suicide Prevention program for Youth Leaders from 23 Dist of AP at Ramanthapur

Makro Foundation organized a session on Suicide Prevention. The session started with the welcome message by organisor.  Mrs. Angela introduce about herself and the objective of the presentation.  Ms. Aparna Adhikari spoke about Makro Foundation and distributed the depression pamphlets.  The session included lot examples of cases related suicide from the newspaper, Media and Personal Counseling Cases in order to provide a better understanding of the topic Suicide an its Prevention.  The group present were mainly the change makers in the society who are undergoing training to become future social workers.  The session took place at St. John Semenary, Ramanthapur.

Methodology: Power point presentation, case studies, Suicide cases, Role Plays. The session was very interactive and lots of examples.

The session ended with situational role plays on different cases related to suicidal ideation and the counselor role modeled on the counseling process while dealing with the suicidal clients
