Makro foundation marked the World AIDS Day on 1st december 2009

Makro Foundation in collaboration with Harneedi.com,  Big 92.7 FM, Indian Medical Association-- Hyderabad city and Desire- organized an event "Pledge Yourself" against the Discrimination of HIV infected children, and individuals on 1st December 2009 to mark the World Aids Day.  

The guests for the event were:

• Mrs. Kalyani, Actress from Tollywood 
• Mr. Surya Kiran- Director, Tollywood 
• Ms. Srivalli-Director Makro Care.

The program began at 1:00 pm with welcome note by Anchors of 92.7 FM. The anchors were Mr. Shekhar, Mr. Raj, Mr. Krish  and his colleagues from Big 92.7 FM. There was a brief introduction about the event, its objective and one line introduction about makro foundation.

A- human chain was formed by students and other members from different organisations. 

Ms. Kalyani, Tollywood actress led the pledge against discrimination in telugu, in which more than 200 students participated. On this occasion Mr.Surya Kiran-Director Tollywoood requested all the people to fight against discrimination and spread awareness on HIV/AIDS.

There was cultural program by children from Desire organisation. The program ended with the fervor of stopping discrimination and spreading this message.                         The team from Makro Foundation distributed pamphlets, posters on HIV/AIDS and talked about HIV/AIDS to students on one to one basis.
