HYDERABAD: Ten cars were damaged when a tipper carrying boulders ran amok at Wipro junction in Gachibowli and rammed vehicles parked on the road late on Tuesday night. Luckily, there was no loss of life. The driver of the tipper, which was proceeding from IIIT junction towards Microsoft, lost control over the vehicle due to break failure just after crossing Microsoft. The vehicle rammed several cabs parked on the roadside near Wipro junction to pick up employees and some vehicles had stopped at the junction as the traffic signal turned red.
"The truck crashed into several vehicles and then just before reaching the junction, the driver turned it to the left. The truck then got on to the footpath and came to a halt after crashing into the compound fencing of Wipro company," Gachibowli inspector J Ramesh said.
